PANCE Hematology Review

Hematology questions are lab-pattern questions. The fastest gains come from recognizing CBC trends, smear clues, bleeding patterns, and thrombotic risk.

What to review

  • Microcytic, macrocytic, and normocytic anemia patterns, iron studies, B12 deficiency, folate deficiency, and hemolysis.
  • Coagulation disorders, platelet disorders, anticoagulant complications, DVT, PE risk factors, and hypercoagulable states.
  • Leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, constitutional symptoms, lymphadenopathy, and when to refer urgently.
  • Transfusion reactions, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, neutropenia, and splenomegaly workups.

How to use practice questions

Work through mixed questions after each focused review block, then tag every miss by reason: missed diagnosis, wrong management step, misread vignette, or weak recall. That pattern gives you a cleaner study plan than just counting correct answers.

Black Belt Test Prep is built around this approach: short question sets, answer review, and a path back into a full PANCE-style bank when you are ready for more volume.
